Discharge from bankruptcy being suspended
How we help
Generally, you will be automatically discharged from bankruptcy on the one year anniversary of the date of the bankruptcy order. However, you remain a discharged bankrupt unless you annul the bankruptcy.
If the Trustee in bankruptcy believes that you have not co-operated with them, they can apply to court to have your automatic discharge extended.
If you have received notice that your Trustee intends to apply for such an order, we will negotiate with them to try and reduce the terms of the order, arrange for attendance at the hearing, and tell you what steps to take to ensure you are compliant so that your bankruptcy can be discharged.
