Experience

Charles represents individuals, local authorities, insolvency practitioners, and SMEs both in the UK and internationally. His work frequently involves obtaining and enforcing judgments against debtors or initiating insolvency proceedings. Since 2013, Charles has built extensive experience in debt recovery, commercial litigation, and insolvency, working across both the Commercial Litigation and Insolvency teams.

Before entering the legal profession, Charles earned a degree in Accountancy and Finance from the University of Hertfordshire and spent several years in the property industry. He has been working as a paralegal since 2013.

Charles is highly skilled in tracing debtors and identifying assets, even when clients provide minimal information. For example, he was once instructed by a banking client to recover a significant debt from an individual with only the debtor’s name and email address. While the client was ready to abandon the claim, Charles successfully located the debtor’s current address and assets worth over £1 million. He initiated bankruptcy proceedings, and the matter was settled before the hearing, securing a substantial recovery for his client.
