Jeremy Boyle is the founding partner of Summit Law LLP, with more than 30 years’ experience advising businesses, insolvency practitioners, financial institutions, investors, family offices and high-net-worth individuals on complex disputes, insolvency and recovery actions.
Jeremy specialises in international disputes, asset recovery, enforcement, insolvency and complex commercial litigation.
He is regularly instructed by overseas lawyers, investors, insolvency practitioners and professional advisers requiring specialist English law advice in matters involving English companies, English assets, shareholder disputes, fraud, insolvency and cross-border recovery strategies.
Jeremy regularly acts as English counsel for overseas lawyers and international clients seeking to enforce judgments, arbitral awards and recovery claims against assets located in England and Wales.
Jeremy works closely with lawyers across the DIFC, ADGM, AIFC and Singapore, helping coordinate cross-border litigation, recovery and enforcement strategies involving England and Wales.
His role is often to act as trusted English counsel within a wider international team, working collaboratively with local lawyers and advisers.
Jeremy is also fluent in Spanish following eight years living and practising in Spain.

International Shareholder and Corporate Control Dispute
Advising an Indian investor in relation to a cross-border shareholder dispute concerning the ownership of shares in an English company connected with a wider international corporate structure. The matter involved shareholder rights, rectification of the register of members, corporate control issues and urgent High Court litigation strategy developed alongside leading King’s Counsel.
Cross-Border Commercial Dispute and DIFC Enforcement
Advising an English company in a substantial commercial dispute against a financial services business incorporated in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The matter involves English court proceedings, service outside the jurisdiction, summary judgment strategy and enforcement of English judgments within the DIFC.
The matter demonstrates Jeremy’s experience advising on cross-border commercial disputes involving DIFC entities, English court proceedings and international enforcement strategy.
International Enforcement and Recovery
Advising overseas lawyers and stakeholders on the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments in England and Wales, including asset tracing, recovery strategies and the use of English court remedies in support of wider international disputes.
Cross-Border Insolvency and Bankruptcy
Advising overseas lawyers and professional advisers on English insolvency and bankruptcy issues arising within international disputes, including matters involving foreign judgments, international ownership structures and recovery strategies.
International Arbitration
Acting in London-seated arbitration matters involving overseas corporates, investors and state-linked entities where English law and London were selected as the dispute resolution forum.
High Court Appointments
Jeremy has been appointed by the Business and Property Courts of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales as Supervising Solicitor in matters involving Imaging Orders, preservation of electronic evidence and court-supervised information-gathering exercises.
He has also acted in matters involving provisional liquidation appointments and related court processes where urgent intervention was required to preserve assets, information and recovery opportunities.
Liquidator Recovery Against Fraudulent Directors
Obtained judgement on behalf of a liquidator for £50 million against fraudulent directors of an international property company.
Wrongful Trading Recovery Action
Secured a judgment for several million pounds against a number of directors in a wrongful trading action.
Multi-Jurisdictional Liquidation for a Formula 1 World Champion
Acted for a Formula 1 World Champion in a multi-jurisdictional liquidation matter.
Breach of Contract and Injunction Defence for a World Rally Champion
Successfully defended a former World Rally Champion against a claim alleging breach of contract, and successfully resisted an application for an injunction brought against him in connection with the same dispute.
International focus
Jeremy regularly works with lawyers, insolvency practitioners, investors and professional advisers throughout the Middle East, Central Asia and Asia.
He attends major international disputes and recovery conferences including Riyadh International Disputes Week, Dubai Arbitration Week and the Kazakhstan Legal Forum. He is also a member of the British-Kazakh Society and has a particular interest in disputes, enforcement and recovery matters involving Central Asia and other emerging international markets.
Jeremy currently supervises client matters involving proceedings before the DIFC Courts.
