Priya, having qualified as a Solicitor in 2017, advises on a broad range of high-value, complex commercial dispute resolution matters for high net-worth individuals and businesses. She has particular experience in company and partnership disputes, advising on derivative claims and unfair prejudice claims, shareholder disputes and property litigation. Priya’s relevant experience include:
- Advising and acting on behalf of an ultimate majority shareholder and sole director resulting in a successful dismissal of three of the four claims presented by the claimant in a multiple derivative action.
- Successfully bringing committal proceedings in the High Court due to the Respondent’s lack of compliance resulting in the imprisonment of the Respondent and successfully obtaining an injunction to relinquish a Facebook account and a domain name relating to a copyright matter.
- Dealing with corporate insolvency matters, achieving dismissal of winding-up petitions and immediately securing an injunction to restrain the petition’s advertisement.
- Conducting high-value enforcement proceedings, recently securing a Final Charging Order in the sum of c£800k as a result of non- compliance of an Ancillary Relief Order made within the Family Court.
- Successfully securing permission for a high-profile restaurant to be entered as an Interested Party in judicial review proceedings and a dismissal of the claimant’s claim on procedural grounds.
