Experience
Salma is a Litigation Paralegal supporting both the Commercial Litigation and Insolvency Disputes teams at Summit Law LLP. She assists on a broad range of contentious matters, providing support throughout the lifecycle of a case, from pre-action stages through to trial and enforcement. She is currently the day-to-day paralegal on a complex cross-border insolvency matter. Her responsibilities include liaising with foreign solicitors, assisting with detailed costs assessments, preparing a statutory demand, and ongoing bankruptcy proceedings arising from unpaid costs orders.
Prior to her current role, Salma has broad experience across commercial and civil disputes, supporting solicitors on a variety of matters. She has particular experience in debt recovery, breach of contract claims, and property-related disputes. Her role included preparing court bundles, conducting legal research, and managing disclosure exercises. She has also been regularly involved in drafting key legal documents, including letters before action, pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements, ensuring compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules.
