Drafting and negotiating IT contracts– largely acting for suppliers of IT services including detailed analysis of legal risk, intellectual property rights and software licences, maintenance and support agreements, disaster recovery, data protection, indemnities and limits of liability, insurance, consultancy, and software development.

Advising on agile development, cloud computing and platform technologies.


Advising businesses offering services to consumers. Offer and acceptance, terms and conditions, privacy, data protection, payment, consumer contracts, disclaimers.

Creating and advising on white label agreements for commercial relationships.


Advising start-up companies (internet, PR, fashion) on contractual relationships, branding (including IP and trade marks), data protection, and dispute resolution (without going to court).

Advice on protecting business secrets, confidential information, patents, copyright, restrictive covenants.

Advised perfume brand in dispute with supplier – settled at mediation.


Sport Resolutions – acted for various athletes facing disciplinary proceedings including a world champion wheelchair rugby league player whose case went before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Acting for professional skier in relation to sponsorship arrangements.


Mark is an accredited CEDR mediator.
